A busy commercial complex on Kanakapura Highway Road, Bangalore—home to popular outlets like Spini Salon, India Sweet House, Burger King, Samosa Party, Spicy Scoop, and Sharif Biriyani—needed a sewage treatment plant and fast. Here's how Varuna got it done in just 7 days.

The Problem: Lots of Wastewater, Very Little Space

With hundreds of customers visiting every day, the complex produces a large amount of sewage. As per Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) rules, this water has to be treated before it's disposed of or reused—especially along a growing area like Kanakapura Road, where groundwater needs protection.

When the rainy season came closer, the management knew they couldn't wait any longer to install an STP. But there was a problem: the site had very little space to work with, so a regular RCC (brick-and-mortar) plant wasn't practical. It would take too long and cause too much disruption.

So they called Varuna.

The Solution: A Ready-Made Precast STP

Our team visited the site right away and studied the space and the wastewater load. Based on that, we designed a Quick STP (MBBR) system to fit the space and sent the drawings for approval.

Once the client approved, here's how things moved:

• Days 1–3: The precast RCC tanks were manufactured and dispatched to the site
• On-site: Tanks were unloaded using a crane, working around the tight space
• At the same time: Pumps, blowers, pipes, valves, and the electrical panel were being installed
• By Day 7: The complete STP was installed and ready to run

Because the civil and mechanical work happened together instead of one after the other, the whole job that usually takes weeks was wrapped up in just a week—without disturbing the shops or their customers.
